Stand By Power Systems

MSI Power Flexi Battery Cabinets are used to provide back-up power to a UPS during blackouts and other power interruptions.
Each cabinet is designed to house many battery sizes and configurations.
The standard cabinets include accessories such as:
Slide out galvanized battery trays
Anderson Power Pole Connectors
Molded case circuit breakers (with auxiliary switches, UVRs or shunt trips)
Bus bars or Flexible Cable Kits are standard accessories

MSI supply custom wiring harnesses to fit any cabinet or system need, using a variety of cable sizes and connections for customer’s particular application.

Remains flexible in colder climate
Ideal cables where a tight routing fit or flexing is needed
Resistant to flame, salt, chemicals, grease and abrasion
We use flexible cable, from a small to large gauges, with tin plated cooper lugs.

MSI cabinets are shipped with or without batteries installed and connected as per customer choice.

Our Battery Systems are ideal for critical backup power applications in a variety of applications: telecommunications, switchgear controls, cellular radio, photovoltaic, railroad signs, communications and uninterruptible power supplies.

Our products have been manufactured using computer-integrated technology for 10 and 20-year design life (in float applications @ 25°C / 77°F), and all cells perform at 100% of rated capacity upon initial shipment. Our wide range of sizes and capacities allows a flexible, customized power solution configured to enhance space saving and versatility.

Our batteries are also available in front access and top terminal configurations creating flexibility in any system design.

All batteries supplied are made in the USA and Europe.

Standard cabinet models are available for 360VDC, 384VDC, 432VDC, 480VDC battery strings.

Batteries are 12V blocks with capacity sizes from 35Ah to 140Ah.

Custom cabinets may have dual strings and lower/high string voltages on a project basis.

MSI Battery Cabinets are shipped fully assembled and internally pre-wired.

Site connections are limited to connections to the UPS (power and control wiring) and completion of battery string using Power Pole Plug Connectors.

All MSI Cabinets are CSA certified to UL1778. CSA documentation and wiring schematic are attached to the inside of the door, prior to shipping.

ABB Molded case circuit breakers conforming to the UL and CSA standard Circuit breakers for power distribution fitted with thermomagnetic or electronic trip units

Thanks to the double insulation technique, with all ABB molded case circuit breakers the electrical accessories can be mounted safely with the circuit breaker installed.
This allows considerable savings in time and therefore in costs.
